The GT842 is completely unique within the Insignia Range. It is the only shower cabin that does not have a roof, and is one of only two that does not have a control panel. Despite a control panel with FM radio, lights, Bluetooth and all the other add-ons being a massive USP for some shower cabins, we also feel a shower without this is also a USP. This is because this shower will need no electrical install, which is music to some customers' ears. The simple, no-nonsense and no fuss shower cabin is exactly what some people want. Sleek and slender, standing at a cosy 800mm by 800mm, this is an ideal shower cabin for a small bathroom.
Not everyone is blessed with enormous bathrooms, and even the 900mm by 900mm quadrants are too big, which is where the GT842 thrives. A very popular model, it is simple to build and simple to install. Being the only shower model without a roof, the GT842 has a monsoon shower head that is connected to a curved 'swan-neck' style bar in order to achieve the overhead rain shower feature which is so popular amongst the Insignia range. You also have the multi-function hand shower which is situated on an adjustable riser rail for optimal height setting. Located in the middle of the column you have the usual cluster of 6 hydro-massage jets. The monsoon rain shower, hand shower, and hydro-massage jets can all be operated independently, via the selector cartridge located in the column.
The GT842 is also thermostatically controlled, with a Vernet cartridge, which is by far the most robust cartridge on the marketplace. As with all Insignia products, no expense is spared when it comes to quality. This shower cabin is one of the cheaper models in the range, simply due to the fact it has no roof, no control panel, and no steam functionality, which is another reason why it is so popular amongst the market. Also being available with black, white, or mirrored back panels, it allows customisation for the customer, to match the decor of their bathroom.
