The Secrets behind Chromotherapy

The limited edition RS range threw up some marvellous pieces of innovation, some of which we have seen become staple features amongst the new INS range of showers. Most notable is probably the Chromotherapy lighting. Chromotherapy takes many names, depending on who is discussing it. It can be referred to as colour therapy, light therapy, colorology to name a few. The principle itself however is the same, using coloured lighting for both physical and mental health benefits. Much like acupuncture, it is an alternative medicine method. Chromotherapy is also considered a pseudo-science, which  means the benefits, and health benefits, whether they are physical, mental, spiritual or emotional, are often dismissed as genuine scientific proof is lacking in this alternative method. Despite this being dismissed by many, it has actually been around for a very long time, centuries in fact. Ancient Egyptians had specially built solarium rooms with different coloured glass. When the sun shined through this and hit the patient, it was believed they would receive specific therapeutic benefits, based on the colour of the light. Evidence also suggests coloured waters and gels were used to achieve the same effects. With this in mind, we decided we could bring the benefits of Chromotherapy into our showers by having LED lighting that changes colour. You have the option of scrolling through the different options, or leaving it fixed on a specific colour. Chromotherapy is believed to aid in physical as well as mental well-being. Not only are there these benefits, but you have different colours you can choose which ultimately creates more choice, and promotes a more fun showering experience.
